She might as well join all the other mothers with sons who went to war and never came back. The government is big on words, short on real sympathy..
My point, Pattie, is maybe we need to be joining her, if not physically, at least vocally.
There was an excellent commentary on NPR this morning about the moral failure of indifference to the war. When it takes a lawsuit to get the Pentagon to release photos of the cost of this war, (see http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/04/28/AR2005042802078.html)then we know we are being manipulated.
Time to stand up and speak up!
